Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s 6 Kids: Everything There Is To Know

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, although no longer a couple, share the joy of being parents to six remarkable children.

In 2002, Jolie embraced motherhood by adopting Maddox Chivan, now 21, from a Cambodian orphanage. Three years later, their family expanded with the adoption of Zahara Marley, 18, born in Ethiopia. Pitt later adopted Jolie’s first two children, solidifying their commitment to growing their family.

In 2006, Shiloh Nouvel, now 17, was born, adding biological diversity to their family. The adoption of Pax Thien, 19, from Vietnam followed. In 2008, their household further blossomed with the arrival of twins Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline, now 15.

Jolie has expressed that having a large, multicultural family has profoundly impacted her children in positive ways. She emphasizes the significant influence they have on each other, fostering a unique family dynamic.

“They’re pretty great people, and because there’s so many of them, I think they’ve had a very significant effect on each other. It’s not like I’m the head of anything. I’m very honest with my kids. And I’m very human with my kids,” Jolie shared with PEOPLE.
